Ford factory nav hack

This upgrade was well worth it. Easy to install and arrived quickly. This was so such a great product and plug and play. The product was as it's described and installed easily.

When powered it on after the install I couldn't believe the differences between touch sync and sync 3 and everything was pre loaded and works great.. Thanks so much!! Easy install. All plug and play. Excellent clarity and works perfect. My only complaint is the USB port looked used but u can really see it and it works so all is good.

Carefully reviewed the provided documents and watched videos online. Installation went smooth and worked perfectly. Got some programming help from William and now my Sync3 system is fully functional! Great service from Intelligent1Tech. Love this upgrade and never going back to Sync1. Had to go into computer to change one number. Their instructions warned about it and showed you how to do it. Easy and smooth install.. I highly recommend. The upgrade was huge!! Love it.

The kit is very easy to install and so far everything works great. Great costumer service! This unit is not a OEM unit it's faulty and a very bad replica of the original. Charging at under 8watt with type c connected.. In talks now with my bank now to get a refund then I'll return this item as its now removed from car. Seller is very dishonest and have made posts online inregards to this on my Facebook ranger page I'm a administrator on. Have to say everything works as it should.

Install was easy, and the sync 3 works perfectly so far. No issues. Everything was plug and play. Only lost my mirror defrost function but gained backup camera and navigation. Upgrade instrument cluster is next. Easy to install. I installed it about a month ago. It seemed to have a few quirks, like forgetting the radio was playing from a usb drive.

Sometimes you have to retell it the source. Maps are much better, which I had hoped for. It was the main reason for purchasing. Much easier to enter favorites and find places. Much easier to make changes than Sync 2. Touch screen is a real help. Navigation won't come close to a Garmin but I did not expect it to. I don't care about being able to watch video going down the road, but would like to imput address' and such on the fly. I think a Ford forum might be more help than this one.

Boys I'm doing this from memory, so please don't lynch me if I miss a step. Please try if interested and let me know results. If for some reason I miss a step, be patient, I will figure it out. My nav now allows me to access POI's while the vehicle is in motion. You will not find this on internet. I finally found out at work.

Push hard nav button on right side of radio. Go to your address book. Pick any of one of your saved addresses. Now that address is highlighted, look to right and push soft edit button. You will now see name of saved address. Place your finger directly under the A and hold. If you do this right, the screen should change to the map screen. Now push your hard menu button on left side of radio. You have now entered security screen.

You will see nothing in the right most corner of nav screen. Push your finger and hold in that position till the screen changes. You now have entered a parameter screen. When you push the button it should change to driving restrictions stop.

Exit the screen by pushing the soft BACK button. Congrats you have just programmed your factory nav radio. Good luck and enjoy. If you choose to monkey around with your other parameters, do so at your own risk. I will not be responsible for your dealer service call.

This programming sequence should work for only the so called first generation navs. It will not work in the MY09, second generation. Then it will bring up this screen. Touch any of the round dials, and you can select their function from the buttons on right. How to get this info to display on the screen? The Pioneer AVIC units which is what this nav system is will allow this info to be displayed on the screen.
