Delta bathtub faucet manual
Pop out the index button with your fingers, or use a screwdriver to pry it out of the handle. Use a Phillips screwdriver and remove the handle screw. The handle should pull off easily. You do not need to remove the screw completely. The lever handle should now come off without any trouble. Unscrew the stem bonnet nuts. Under the handle, you will see a hexagon shaped nut holding the Delta faucet stem in place.
Use an adjustable crescent wrench to loosen the nut by turning it counterclockwise, and then remove it by hand. Pull the stems up and out of the faucet. Remove the seats and springs. Use a pair of tweezers or the small Allen wrench to pry out the old seats and springs.
Clean the inside of the stem barrels. If you notice a whit mineral deposit buildup inside the faucet, use a scouring pad and a little vinegar to sand it off.
Turn the water supply valves on one at a time, just enough to wash out any remaining debris. Insert new seats and springs. Slide the small opening end of the rubber seat onto the Allen wrench or a small screwdriver, followed by the small end of the metal spring.
